RSU Jazz Orchestra
The RSU Jazz Orchestra consists of faculty and students of Jazz Department, Rangsit University Jazz Orchestra. The band is directed by Dr.Denny Euprasert and LCdr. Nob Prateepasen. The band performed as a premier in 2008 at Small Hall, Thailand Cultural Centre for the concert title “RSU Jazz Orchestra: Monday Night Live” Recently, RSU Jazz Orchestra performed a historical event with Ms. Maria Schneider, world re now jazz big band leader and composer in October 2010 under the title “Maria Schneider Conducts RSU Jazz Orchestra.” This event has made RSU Jazz Orchestra to be the first jazz orchestra in Asia under Ms. Maria’s baton.

RSU Jazz Orchestra วงแจ๊สออร์เคสตร้าแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต ประกอบด้วยนักศึกษาและคณาจารย์สาขาวิชาดนตรีแจ๊สศึกษา กำกับและควบคุมวงโดย ดร.เด่น อยู่ประเสริฐ และ นาวาตรีนบ ประทีปเสน ได้ทำการแสดงเป็นครั้งแรกในปี 2552 ณ หอประชุมเล็ก ศูนย์วัฒนธรรมแห่งประเทศไทย ในคอนเสิร์ต “RSU Jazz Orchestra: Monday Night Live” และได้ทำการแสดงอีกครั้งในคอนเสิร์ต “Maria Schneider Conducts RSU Jazz Orchestra โดยการกำกับและควบคุมวงโดย Ms. Maria Schneider นักประพันธ์และผู้ควบคุมวงแจ๊สบิ๊กแบนด์ที่มีชื่อเสียงของโลก เจ้าของสองรางวัล Grammy Awards ในเดือนตุลาคม 2553 ที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งถือว่าวง RSU Jazz Orchestra เป็นวงแจ๊สบิ๊กแบนด์ในทวีปเอเชียวงแรกที่อยู่ภายใต้การควบคุมวงของ Maria Schneider การแสดงดังกล่าววง RSU Jazz Orchestra ได้บรรเลงบทประพันธ์ของ Maria ทั้งสิ้น 6 ผลงานด้วยกัน ซึ่งถึงแม้ว่าจะเป็นวงแจ๊สออร์เคสตร้าที่เพิ่งเริ่มต้น แต่การแสดงในวันนั้นประสบความสำเร็จอย่างดียิ่ง
