Thailand International Composers Competition

Thailand International Composition Festival was established in 2005 with the goal to improve the standard of Composition Education in Thailand and later on Southeast Asia with the missions to create the opportunity for emerging talented composers to be recognized and to develop their career. This year, Thailand International Composition Festival in cooperation with Rangsit University provides the opportunity for emerging composers regardless of their nationality to participate in the Thailand International Composers Competition. Five finalists will have an opportunity to work with the TICF Trio and receive comment and consultation from Master Composers including Robert Beaser, Zhou Long, João Pedro Oliveira and Xiaogang Ye.

วิทยาลัยดนตรี มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดมหกรรมการแสดงผลงานการประพันธ์เพลงแห่งประเทศไทย 2553 (Thailand Composition Festival 2010) การจัดมหกรรมในครั้งนี้ ได้รับความร่วมมือจากสถาบันการศึกษาทางดนตรี ชั้นนำของประเทศหลายแห่ง รวมถึงสถาบันการศึกษาดนตรีต่างๆ ในระหว่างวันที่ 12-16 กรกฎาคม 2553 เวลา 08.00-16.30 น. ณ อาคารวิทยาลัยดนตรี (อาคาร 10) มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต
ทั้งนี้ กิจกรรมภายในงานประกอบด้วยการแสดงคอนเสิร์ต ผลงานของนักประพันธ์ดนตรีทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างประเทศ การบรรยายและสัมมนาในหัวข้อต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับดนตรีร่วมสมัย การสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการ ในหัวข้อ การประพันธ์โดยวงดนตรีและนักดนตรีจากต่างประเทศ ให้กับนักศึกษาและเยาวชนส่งผลงานประพันธ์เข้ารับการคัดเลือก รวมไปถึงการจัดวางนิทรรศการผลงานสร้างสรรค์ทางดนตรีให้กับบุคคลทั่วไป ได้เข้าชม
